Some Achievements (2002 to date):
- National Professional Pole Dance Performer and International Teacher (one of the first in the World).
- Equity Member. Enabling others to perform and be taken seriously as artists.
- Competed and placed in the first UK National Pole Competitions in 2005 (Miss Pole Queen and Miss Pole Dance). Paving the way for others to compete.
- Dancing on the first Pole Fitness and Dance DVD (Get Yourself Fit To Strip, Virgin/EMI Records) to be commercially available to the general public. 2005. Enabling pole dance, pole fitness, strippercise and chair dance to be more widely available and accepted as a fitness and dance form.
- Competed and won the first Miss Pole Dance UK Doubles Competition in 2007 (additionally Winning Best Pole Tricks for The Pole 'O'). Paving the way for others to compete and innovating new moves.
- Competed in the first UK Professional Pole Championships (UKPPC) and UK Pole Artistes Competition gaining Bronze medal in 2011. Innovating new moves such as the 'Genevieve' and using lights on costume in performances.
- Co-Founder of Equity Working Pole Dancers Committee. Ensuring proper pay and contracts for professional pole dance work with various television and production companies.
- Co-Founder of UK Pole Dance Day
- Co-Founder of University of Derby Pole Dance Society (TreeFrogs).
- Founding Member of International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF) Technical Committee. Helping to encourage pole as a sport as well as an art form.
- Creating Strictly Pole Dancing and The Flying Studio website. A resource, reference and inspiration for 'polers' around the globe for their classes, new moves, adopted names for moves, history of pole dancing, PHD theses, authors of work on pole dancing and feminism.
- Recognised as the founder of pole dance in flat soled dance shoes or bare feet (adopted by many today). Enabling the use of flat dance shoes to be widely accepted.
- Judge in the first UK competitions recognised by the pole community.
- Took part in the very first series of programmes such as Britain's Got Talent on ITV and various for the BBC. Enabling others to follow and be allowed to progress through the show.
- Various Dance Teaching Awards.
- Various Teaching Qualifications (including a Distinction grade in Safe and Effective Dance Practice).
- Extensive Aerial Training in Silks, Hoop, Chinese Pole, Trapeze (static, doubles and flying trapeze) 2006-2008.
- Master Pole Dance Workshop Leader and Cabaret Pole Dance Performer for Ceroc Weekenders 2006-2011.
- Mentoring and Consultancy for PoleSilks Founder.
- Registered Zumba Instructor (Zumba Instructor Network) 2010-2013.
- Brazillian Samba Dancer and Teacher (Solar School of Samba) 2013-2015.
- Genevieve is a Level 1 Hypopressive Method Trainer.
- Genevieve holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Immunology.
